Our expertise with business applications spans PC business software development and web server development. PC Business Software Development We develop solutions using the Sun JDK and JSWDK and Microsoft Visual C++. Most projects involve the use of either pure Java or MFC, although in limited circumstances we will implement direct console applications for clients who need autonomous command-line processes. Other tool-sets which we employ include ADO, OleDB, DAO, JDBC, DirectX, and ODBC. Methodologies We employ a variety of Object-Oriented methodologies, depending on the needs of the client. Generally, unless client needs to dictate otherwise, our methodologies will follow those of Rumbaugh. Design Patterns (ala Gamma, et.al.) play a key role in our analysis phase. Operating Systems We develop PC-based solutions exclusively for the Win32 Environment, including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows CE, and Windows NT, and Java-based applications for Linux. Database Development We excel in database development for SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and Oracle. Although past projects have included Paradox, dBaseIII, and Btrieve, we prefer to develop for more modern databases. Consultants for Texas Instruments to develop PC and embedded project specifications for a new embedded sensor product to allow other firms to provide competitive bids based solely on this documentation Interactive Voice Response (IVR) application for US South Communications in support of a nationwide promotional campaign for the major cola company. (Hosted on Windows NT using Visual C++ and the Oracle Objects Class Library) Bisynchronous protocol converter (including a complete hardware design and fully functional embedded firmware in only four weeks) for connecting non-RJE bisync applications to PCs using the MSP430 for US South Communications. (PC host software developed with Visual C++) IIR filter design tools using Visual J++, Visual C++ and Access Data collection system monitoring a networked embedded test equipment suite for InGenius ATG using Visual C++ and Access WinCE architect of the user-interface component for the next-generation digital television for Philips Consumer Electronics using Visual C++ Architect for Aircraft Interface Modules for a variety of Special Operations aircraft to be used in conjunction with Special Operations Flight Planning system (SOFPLAN) using Visual C++, DAO, and Access Top Web Server Development We develop web-based solutions using JSP, Java servlets, and ColdFusion. Our forte is the back-end data service portions of enterprise sites, for both NT and Linux servers, with the data housed in any JDBC or ODBC database. Handling Fee: Unless otherwise specified, SoftBaugh orders under $100.00 USD will be subject to a $10.00 USD handling fee.

Signature Proof of Delivery Required: We require a signature for all shipments. If you wish to waive the signature requirement, please mention it in the order comments. If you choose to waive the signature you assume all responsibility for receipt of the shipment.

Restocking Fee: All non-defective returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Shipping charges are not refundable. Product must be unopened in original packaging and suitable for resale. Products held for over 30 days or returned without a Return Material Authorization will not be accepted. Items damaged due to customer mishandling or misuse are not returnable. Software is not returnable.

Customers outside US: Due to the high cost of sending and accepting wire transfers, any orders paid by wire will be subject to a $40 wire fee. We accept checks at no additional charge by mail in US currency, or in foreign currency at the applicable current exchange rate. Please state your payment preference in the order comments. We require payment on all international orders before shipping.

Credit cards: We accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. If you wish to pay using one of these credit card types, fill out the form on the confirmation email you receive after placing your order and fax it back to us. International customers paying by credit card do not incur a wire fee.
